Symptoms Management and Palliative Care

This research domain will establish a forum for researchers and graduate students in the field of symptoms management and palliative care in diverse health conditions throughout life. The forum will promote research and discourse in this field related to topics such as ethical, clinical and practical issues pertaining to symptom management and palliative care in different health and illness situations, as well as both patients’ and healthcare professionals’ wellbeing. 

The first meeting includes a lecture and discussion with researchers and research students led Prof. Roy Treister that discusses the issue of “Challenges in Assessing Pain within the context of the Challenges of Assessing Other Symptoms.” Another meeting is planned on January 6, 2022 with Prof. Ruth Lopez who will describe research trends in patients with dementia and their primary caregivers.
